I'm Shun Yoshie, the chairperson of the JAWS PANKRATION 2024 executive committee.

Shortly after noon Japan time, JAWS PANKRATION 2024, the 24-hour global online event, successfully concluded. We are incredibly grateful for the speakers and participants who joined us from all over the world. Although there were some minor streaming issues during a few sessions, including the opening, the IVS (Interactive Video Service) never went down, and the stream continued uninterrupted, which I consider a remarkable achievement. The content of the sessions, delivered by the speakers composed of AWS titleholders and sponsors, was outstanding. Hats off to them!

Moreover, our challenge to provide simultaneous multilingual translation was well-received by many speakers, not only for Japanese and English but also for Indonesian, Spanish, and translation into 25 languages. We are proud to say that we achieved our theme of "No Border" at a satisfactory level by "bringing in more international speakers," "increasing the number of speaker languages we can support," and "creating an event that can be appreciated worldwide."

We also considered using Amazon Bedrock for simultaneous translation, and many were pleased with the summary of their speeches, which were written to DynamoDB and then summarized using Bedrock. There are still some remaining tasks, such as editing and releasing videos, but we received tremendous support from many involved.
